Content Bid Experiment

I have one AdWords campaign that I run, mostly for fun (experiment) where I bid $0.05 and get mostly (85%) of my click-thrus from Google's content network. That's because AdWords only disables keywords for their search network and not their content network and I get more than 99% of my impressions on the content network, of which the CTR is extra low. What this means is that I get can a lot of low CPM impressions on their content network. This seems an easy opportunity for AdSense arbitrage. Let's see how low I can reduce my content big (while leaving my search network bid at 5 cents). Today, I reduced the content network bid to 1 cent.

Hi just started!  I am going in the same direction you are but how many key words will I need, and does the cpc effect the content bid.?  Thanks and if you want to go to my website www.infolistingusa.com
$3.50 CPC for keywords related to Bed and Breakfast in Toronto is way too much. At $175/d, that's $60k/yr. It sounds to me like your chasing the #1 spot on Google rather than trying to acquire new business. Your focus should be on conversions (a.k.a. sales). I'm also in Toronto (Brampton to be exact). If you are interested in help, then drop me an email [randy@kbcafe.com].

Impressions is the number of times your ad appears in the Google search results. Clicks is the number of times someone clicks on your ad.
Hope that helps,

Randy

There is another thing, out of manythings, I do not understand.  What is the relationship between Clicks, Impressions and Click Through Rate?  On some days I get 60 clicks, 7500 impressions, and 0.00% CTR, or 6 clicks,   4500 impressions 0.1 CTR (not exact quotations but something like that).

Do I sound dumb enough for you?

Thank you for taking the time to wrtie back.

Ruowen

CTR (click thru rate) = clicks divided by impressions.

Randy
Ruowen,
That Website doesn't seem like a very good source for AdWords related information. Also, why is the URL above costing you dearly for nothing?
Thanks,

Randy

I ran it for a few months and it worked, but as of about two months ago, I was no longer able to get the same results.
Sorry,

Randy
