Quite often, I hear people talk about a new AdSense layout that increased his CTR (click-thru-rate). Truth is, any change in layout will increase your CTR. I'm now thinking about implementing rotating layouts that automatically change color schemes and positions every month. Now, don't mistake this for changing the color and position with every impression. That can work, but is annoying to your regulars readers.
So, if you want to increase your CTR, then simply change your layout. The increased CTR is immediate, but trails off in time, which necessitates another change.
