Google Whois

For years, when I wanted to find out the whois data on a domain, I simply when to Google and typed whois {some-domain}.com and usually the 1st result was exactly what I was looking for. I think a lot of ppl were doing this and the SEOs decided to take advantage and submit tons of whois {some-domain}.com results into the Google SERPs. Now you get a bunch of crap, mostly spammy sites trying to convert Google referrals into ad clicks.

If you work at Google, then please fix. Thanks!

Some Crafty Tips ‘du Jour’ for Online Advertising

Many people and business lose money every year to unsuccessful marketing campaigns or poor online reputation management, and sometimes it’s hard to know what is working and what isn’t. Some businesses use comment sections or online questionnaires for feedback on the product. Whether you’re a corporation or a small business there are strategies that are applicable for anyone hoping to make a greater impact on consumer opinion, while not wasting their time and money.

First, understand your audience and what your objectives for your company's web site. Understanding your motives is key towards engaging and connecting with the public. Social media is a growing way in which businesses are engaging consumers. Outlets, such as Facebook, are tools used to remain relevant and appealing to the current consumer, who spends a substantial portion of time on social media networks. The objective is not just for people to see what you offer but to keep them coming back for updates, which goes a long way towards building a powerful brand.

Deciding on a marketing budget is a decision that requires research into the best way to display your business that is also cost-effective. There isn’t an exact figure. Companies of various sizes spend vastly different percentages of the overall revenue, according to Business Week. Paid media advertising is very expensive, and there are other ways to get your message out there. You just have to decide what strategy would meet marketing goals for the company.

If you’re not getting the kind traffice on your web site that you want, look at some online resources, such as the aforementioned online reputation management. It will increase your search engine optimization and produce positive web content for your business. This increases the visibility of your web site, and improves your online reputatio.

Increasing the quality and impact of your business’ web site is an important step towards building a better brand. Consider these steps and how they may fit with your company's goals.
